We, Lee Rice and Bob Giacomo, want to introduce ourselves - as we have agreed to be your new PigSIG Leaders for the computer group. As usual, dinners w ill be held the third Tuesday of the month, at one of the many restaurants in the area. We are working with a local restaurant for the February 19th dinner but nothing is definite yet.

We will send an e-mail reminding you of the dinner, the time and the place, no later than one to two weeks prior to the third Tuesday. Please e-mail us as soon as possible letting us know if you are attending, and the number of people. The restaurants require us to provide them, well in advance, with the number of people attending. They need time to prepare for our group and to ensure our needs are met.

It is very important you respond if you are attending as soon as possible. Please send your response to either,

The February Pig SIG will be held on Thursday March 22 at Joe Crackers, near Town Center Mall.

Gloria Heisler has made the arrangements for this event and states the following in her announcement:

Well, it's that time again.  As I mentioned in January, this month is going to be on Thursday instead of Tuesday.  It wasn't correct in the Bytes.  I have tried once before a day other than a Tuesday.  I'd like to be more random to make sure that if someone has a Tuesday committment every week or something like that, they still can ocassionally in the Pig Sig group from time to time.  So this month is a THURSDAY, THE 22ND.

Joe Crackers cannot reserve tables, but they said that we'd be able to get together in same proximity at that hour, 5 PM.  So hopefully you'll be able to join us for a fun, relaxing meal at Joe Crackers, near Red Lobster out by the mall.  Let me know if you will be there, and how many.

Prices are a tad higher than some of the past locations, but not too bad. The  food is delicious and the view outstanding.  5 pm, second floor.  We won't be able to sit together in a group.  We could have if we'd rented the top floor and done 3 item buffet. 

That gets too complicated.  Several times I have checked out the number of people at tables at 5 pm and there are about 2 tables in use, but it gets busy within a half hour, and very busy by 6 pm. Plan to get there early for best seats.

That's as far as I've gotten for now.  July might be a Pot Luck picnic like last year, but it was so hot … may try to have it somewhere with option to be in air or outside… maybe the Beach Complex?  I will have to check on costs.  

 

The January Pig SIG will be held on Tuesday January 16 at Tratorria Limoncello, 10361 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda, 1/2 mile south of Burnt Store Rd, near the new Goodwill store, past Juicy Lucy's, toward Fort Myers.

As usual, we will begin to gather at 5pm, and order around 5:30pm.  It's a new place, very nice, and moderate prices, $10-15.  They serve beer and wine, but not hard liquor.
