The April General Meeting on Tuesday, April 03, 2007 will be held in the Centennial Room at the Port Charlotte Cultural Center, 2280 Aaron Street, Port Charlotte, Florida 33952.
 The April Program will be presented by Metro Crime Prevention of Florida. The presenter, Dan Swanson, will be discussing potential dangers in our every day life that we don't realize exist and ways to avoid being a victim or statistic.Â
The program will offer ample opportunity for questions and discussion.

The March General Meeting on Tuesday, March 06, 2007 will be held in the Centennial Room at the Port Charlotte Cultural Center, 2280 Aaron Street, Port Charlotte, Florida 33952.

The program, "Meet Me at the Forum", will be presented by Larry VanOsdol, webmaster of CCCGC.
Â
The program will begin with a short tour of the new forum available on the CCCGC website. The forum is intended for the discussion of computer issues and offers an opportunity for members to ask questions and get answers to computer related issues between Q & A sessions at the General Meetings. ÂThe program will also discuss other features of the website which are available only to members, and then make an introduction of the new Website SIG by showing various tools available for creating a personal web blog.
The program will offer ample opportunity for questions and discussion.

Meeting Notice
The February General Meeting on Tuesday, February 06, 2007 will be held in the Centennial Room at the Port Charlotte Cultural Center, 2280 Aaron Street, Port Charlotte, Florida 33952.
The program, "Current Trends in Digital Photography", will be presented by Tom Zinneman.
Tom has been a member of CCCGC since 1999. That is the same year he purchased his first digital camera. Being a retired electrical engineer with some expertise in digital equipment, he quickly became enthralled with digital photography.
Tom is a member of several camera clubs and teaches classes in digital photography. He specializes in nature photography and posts many images on his personal web site, www.zinnysworld.com.
During his presentation, he will review the current trends in digital cameras, displays, editing programs, and output devices.

The January General Meeting on Tuesday, January 02, 2007 will be held in the Centennial Room at the Port Charlotte Cultural Center, 2280 Aaron Street, Port Charlotte, Florida 33952.
Our speaker for the January meeting is Robin Miller. His subject is Linux. Part of his bio follows:Robin 'Roblimo' Miller is editor in chief for Open Source Technology Group (OSTG), one of the world's leading online tech news publishers. He has written for Slashdot, Linux.com , NewsForge, Time New Media, Online Journalism Review, Web Hosting Magazine, The Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun, and many other Web sites, newspapers, and magazines.
 He is one of the creators of modern interactive journalism and has served as an Internet business consultant to several Fortune 500 companies and many Internet entrepreneurs.
