A new forum has been added to the website for members of CCCGC to post questions and make comments on various topics. There are some rules that must be enforced to prevent the forum from becoming a repository for spam messages and comments. Initially the rules will be as follows:

1) The Forum is for members ONLY. This requires that you register with a user name and a valid email address. The preference is that the user name be your first and last name, but you may use a nickname if desired. In case a nickname is used, the Full First and Last name shall be entered on the profile once you have logged into the website.

2) To Register, go to the website and click "Register", located on a line just above the website header. Â

3) Preferably, insert your name and email address. Then click "Register". A password will be sent to the email address you entered. On the top line of the website, select “login” instead of “register: When the form comes up, again insert your user name and the password emailed to you. Click “Login”. If the login was successful, you will go to your profile page, where you can enter your full name if you elected to use a nickname during the registration process. You may also change your password to something easier to remember, along with any of the other optional information requested.

4) After entering the requested information, click “update profile” at the bottom of the page. Then click “View site” which appears just after “Charlotte County Computer Group Corporation” at the top of the page.

5) When the front page of the website appears, click “Forum” in the Navigation bar at the top of the page. It may also be selected by clicking "Forum" under Menu in the right sidebar.

6) You will now be on the forum, where you can fead and reply to messages. At the present time, you will not be able to create new forums, but can create a new topic under an existing forum

The list of registered usernames and email address will be checked against the list of member names as shown on the current list available at the office of CCCGC. Any name registered on the forum that does not match a name on the membership list will be deleted without notice. Entry of your email address is not made public, not given to any third party, and is used internally to validate requests to post to the forum.

The posts are moderated and posts containing offensive material may be edited or removed at the webmasters descretion. The webmaster may also create additional forums to accomodate posts, or move off-topic posts to another forum at his sole descretion.

If you have any questions, please email LarryVan at webmaster@cccgc.net or call me 941-876-0103
