Blank CDMy Mix is a simple program that easily allows you to burn professional sounding mix CDs from your home computer. The process involves selecting a name for the collection (called a Mix) and then pointing to the location of the MP3 files that are to be used. After the mix has been generated, it may be saved on the computer or burned on a CD with a built-in CD burning program
There are two further refinements that can be made to the generated mix; modifying both the song length and it’s volume and furthermore introducing a transition between two songs. The song length may be fine tuned by a clever display of the time used while the song is being played so that the appropriate end of the song may be chosen. The transitions between songs may be chosen from approximately several dozen preprogrammed ones. They include such things as fade, echo and crowd noise. Within limits the length of the transition may also be specified.
There is another special feature to this program. It also allows you to convert the MP3 mix to wave files (*.wav) , Windows Media (*.wma), Real Audio (*.rm) or Playlist (*.m3u).
This is not a very complex program and once learned, it makes the generation of a CD containing your personalized music very easy. The aid built into this program makes this a very simple task. At this point I would say that this program is well worth the money. Currently, Simple Star is running a special for MyMix on their website for $14.99. Normal pricing runs between $19.95 and $29.95 depending on when and where it is purchased. At the special price of $14.99, it really is a bargain!
When the program is opened, the screen on the upper right hand has the familiar three icons; close, minimize and help. That help file is the total documentation for the program.
