Software Review by James M. GarnesThe current method for creating PDF (Portable Document Format) files is using Adobe Acrobat 5.0. With Click2PDF you are able to do the same thing much cheaper. Using this software, you are able to create PDFs for your family and friends with photos, recipes, stories, etc. And even convert documentations, newsletters, and more into PDF files that can be opened and viewed across a broad range of software and operating systems. After setting up Click2PDF on your system, you can then open a file, such as a Web page, document, spreadsheet, graphic, or whatever, and select the print option as you normally would. Then, you just choose the "Click2PDF" printer. And, the program opens, and asks you to name the file, and where you want to save your PDF file.
I tried this program in several different ways and in several different programs and found it to be very user friendly and quite consistent.
Installation was simple and quick. During installation, you will see a registration dialogue box asking for your VIP key, received when you buy the program. Enter that VIP key in the box to fully enable the program. Then it’s recommended that you check for updates after registration.
After that, here’s how it works. If you were typing a letter through your word processor or creating a spreadsheet you would simply click File ? Print. When your Printer's Dialog box opens you simply select the Click2PDF as your printer. Click2PDF enables you to create virtually any file into a PDF file from in any application. When your application allows you to "Print" from it, Click2PDF will create it.
With Click2PDF, you can also e-mail your documents directly from any application that can print. As one example, when using your accounting software to send invoices by e-mail, your documents will be converted into a standard PDF file and attached to an e-mail message, which allows it to be seen on any computer you send it to. To assure to the receiver the authenticity of the document, a watermark/signature can be added before it is sent via e-mail. All your recipients will see is the document, without having the same software installed on their system. All your documents will be delivered just as you created them.
