PhotoShop isn’t an easy program to learn how to use. This WOW Book with picture examples in the book and on the cd-rom can help even a novice perform some pretty exciting stuff with PhotoShop 7 very quickly.
The book begins with a section on what’s new in the PhotoShop 7 version of Adobe’s award winning software. The PhotoShop 7 version is intended to be much easier to use for the beginner. I was most impressed with the fact that they’ve added a spellchecker to PhotoShop 7, and in Image Ready you can now make more than one color in a graphic transparent.
Even if you absolutely hate to read, you’ll love this WOW Book. It’s filled with picture examples and tip boxes from cover to cover. You could learn a great deal simply by looking at the pictures and reading the tip boxes.
The cd-rom included with the book has everything you need to follow along with the projects in the book, as well as tons of extra goodies:

More than 200 Layer Style Presets - sophisticated one-click dimensional effects for buttons and high-res type and graphics, as well as overlay effects for photos and illustrations, including 50 automated Image Ready Button Rollover Styles.
Hundreds of custom WOW Presets including over 60 WOW art media brushes, actions, gradients, shapes, patterns and textures.This is an excellent book for anyone who wants to use PhotoShop 7. The only thing I didn’t like about the book was the fact that I couldn’t find any information about backward compatibility for the Presets with older versions of PhotoShop.
