Carl Argabright
2002
I was proud to serve in the office of Vice President, in the year 2001, under the leadership of President Len Harvey.  During that period, I initiated the "Warm Welcome" to our members and guests as they came in to our general meetings.  That same year, I started the "Advanced Class" which was open to both members and guests.
During the year 2002, as President, I continued the practice of greeting members and guests as they entered the general meeting.
The "Advanced Class" concept was also continued.  This class was run for about six months, featuring different topics and programs.
The class was always full and some

unhappy members were turned away for lack of space.  There was only space for 45 chairs in the rear classroom. During the year 2002, we doubled the classroom size and still filled the room.
The format was changed to a Q & A session, which satisfies most of the participants. Also, in 2002, a new position was formed in connection with the Board of Directors.  Aaron Rennert helped me with this new concept.
This position,  "Permanent Parliamentarian", was designed to bring continuity to the Board of Directors.  Aaron Rennert agreed to fill this position and was voted in by the Board of Directors.
These are my contributions to the "CCPCUG".  May all members benefit from this organization.  I did, and it was a genuine pleasure to serve.

Carl Argabright decided not to run for reelection. That left us without a candidate for the office of president until Larry Hurley came through and volunteered to run for office. He was elected for the year 2003 and is our current president. A photo and article on Larry will appear in the next update, after he has served his term.
