"I was born and raised in Chicago, Ill. Education: 1 year pre-law University of Illinois.
Misc. Engineering courses at Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago Technical College, College of DuPage. Associate Degree in Engineering Technology. Married to Mardii in 1960. Moved to Downers Grove, Ill. We have 5 children, 2 boys and 3 girls. We have 5 grand children, 2 boys and 3 girls. Project Engineer for International Harvester Engineering & Research Center, Hinsdale, Ill. Retired from International Harvester with 33 years of service. Moved to Punta Gorda, Fl in 1986. Licensed Real Estate agent 1989. Joined CCPCUG in 1990. Taught beginner's class at CCPCUG for 4 years and intermediate class for 2 years. Vice President 1996 and 1997. President 1998, re-elected for 1999."

Hi-lights of the 1998 Presidency:
Restored the Group to a favorable financial state.
Reorganized the General meetings.
Reinstated our Corporation status with the State.
Built a new Pentium class computer for the office.
Built a new Pentium class computer for demonstrations at meetings.
New laser printer for the Bytes.
Relocation of our monthly Board meetings to the Cultural Center's Board Room.
Established an advertising manager, budget committee, office staff coordinator, group librarian, and group photographer.

Computer Experience
1962 - "Punch card" main frame IBM computers for linkage and spring analysis at IHC.
1978 - Individual terminals with keyboard input at IHC.
1982 - Bought a personal computer running CPM operating system.
1985 - Bought a DOS computer.
1993 - Built 1st computer, a 586-120.
1994 to present - Misc. computer repair, on site tutoring.
