June 2006 General Meeting

The June CCCGC General meeting will feature Ms Aurelia Negrerie, and a presentation on Linspire, an introduction to Linux OS. We have not yet been given specific information about the content of her presentation, but their website touts Linspire Five-O to be the "World's Easiest Desktop Linux".
PC Magazine in a short description says:

Holy tightwads, Batman! A better PC than what you're running costs less than a pair of designer jeans? What's happened to the computer industry?When we pressed the power button, our cynical sides expected sparks and smoke. Instead, we were welcomed by Linspire. Linspire runs and operates, for the most part, a lot like Microsoft Windows. In fact, Linspire's relative familiarity and ease of use are two of its biggest selling points.
